Overview

Saurashtra, also known as Kathiawar, is a peninsular region of Gujarat, India, located on the Arabian Sea coast. It covers about a third of Gujarat state with 11 districts including Rajkot. Tour Saurashtra starts in Mumbai, a city which never sleeps. The city derived its name from Mumbadevi, a goddess of native Koli (fishermen) community. Mumbai has been considered as the financial capital of Maharashtra and plays a pivotal role in Indian economics and politics.

Vadodara is famous for Patola silk sarees, Bandhnis and traditional ghagras, Embroidered quilts, Bangles, Khadi, Jewellery. This city is known for the famous Lakshmi Vilas Palace which is the residence of state's Maratha Royal Family. Gujarat is now known for the Statue of Unity with the world’s tallest statue with a height of 182 meters. Ambaji is yet another place where pilgrims visit throughout the year. The shrine of Shri Amba is regarded as a revered shrine by the Shakta Shaktism sect of Hinduism. It is believed that the Heart of Sati Devi has fallen here. The origin of the Shakti Peetha status temple is from the mythology of Daksha yaga and Sati's self-immolation.

Ahmedabad is the financial capital of Gujarat. Famous Gandhi Ashram is located in the city along with few other attractions and places of historical importance. Dwaraka the then capital of Gurarat with long standing history and culture that dates back to the times of Mahabharat (the great war believed to be fought between Good and Bad). Somnath is a magnificent temple situated in Sagar Kant of Saurashtra in Gujarat state. One of the 12 holy Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva is in Jyotirlinga here in Somnath.

Junagarh, a gateway to the Somnath Temple and the famous Gir National Park. The Saurashtra tour concludes in Mumbai with a visit to the famous Bollywood.

Vadodara: Vadodara, also known as Baroda, is a major city in the Indian state of Gujarat. It serves as the administrative headquarters of the Vadodara district and is situated on the banks of the Vishwamitri River.

Statue of unity: The Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue, with a height of 182 metres, located near Kevadia in the state of Gujarat, India. It depicts Indian statesman and independence activist Vallabhbhai Patel, who was the first deputy prime minister and home minister of independent India.

Dwarka: It is mentioned in the ancient prehistoric epic period of the Mahabharata. According to legend, Krishna settled here after he defeated and killed his uncle Kansa at Mathura.

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad, in western India, is the largest city in the state of Gujarat. The Sabarmati River runs through its centre. On the western bank is the Gandhi Ashram at Sabarmati. Famous Places in Ahmedabad; Sabarmati Ashram. Bhadra Fort. Jama Masjid. Sarkhej Roza. Shah-e-Alam Roza.

Somnath: One of the 12 holy Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva is in Jyotirlinga here in Somnath. Somnath is also mentioned in Rigveda.

Junagadh: Dotted with grand palaces, forts and cave temples, Junagadh offers visitors a chance to taste the diverse palate of its rich history that can be seen in its beautiful monuments. A gateway to the Somnath Temple and the Gir National Park, Junagadh reels one in with its heritage charm.

Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
Arrive at Delhi Airport at 0025 hrs & transfer to hotel. Reach & check in. Time for rest. Overnight stay at hotel, Delhi.
Day 2 - Around Delhi
After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing of Delhi. Visit Akshardham temple, Central Vista which includes visit to India gate, National War Memorial & Netaji’s Statue. Return to hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel, Delhi.
Day 3 - Delhi to Varanasi
After breakfast, check out & transfer to Delhi airport to board flight for Varanasi. Arrive at Varanasi airport & transfer to hotel. Reach & check in hotel. Afternoon visit Lal Bahadur Shastri House (2nd Prime Minister of India) Evening take a cruise ride to all 84 ghats. It also gives you a glimpse of famous Ganga aarti at Dashashwamedh ghat. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay, Varanasi.
Day 4 - Varanasi
Early morning, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Enjoy the local food delicacies for breakfast followed by shopping!!! Afternoon rest at hotel. Evening we visit Tulsi Manas Temple. It houses the famous & great Indian epic Ramcharitmanas which was written by the saint Goswami Tulsidas. The wall of the temple has various scenes from the Ramcharitmanas. Return to hotel for dinner with some delicious ‘Indian Chaat’ Overnight stay, Varanasi.
Day 5 - Varanasi Sarnath Varanasi
Early morning visit Assi Ghat to enjoy a boat ride at sunrise. Return to hotel for breakfast & fresh n up. Rest for a while. After lunch proceed to Sarnath – place where the Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Visit Dhamek stupa, Sarnath Archaeological Museum which is home to various ancient sculptures & paintings. The popular Lion Capital of Ashok Sthamb (Pillar) is on display at this museum. Dinner & night stay at hotel, Varanasi.
Day 6 - Varanasi – Ayodhya
After breakfast check out & transfer to Ayodhya. Lunch will be served enroute. Reach & check in hotel. Attend Aarti at River Sharayu. See the ‘Veena Circle’ built as a homage to the famous singer Late Lata Mangeshkar. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel, Ayodhya.
Day 7 - Ayodhya – Lucknow
After breakfast check out from hotel & visit the Ram Mandir built at the place where Lord Rama was born. After lunch, transfer to Lucknow. Reach & check in hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel, Lucknow.
Day 8 - Lucknow
After breakfast proceed to visit Lucknow. Visit Rumi Darwaja – was built in 1784-86 and is 60 feet high, with no visible supporting fittings. It is also known as the Turkish gate & displays Awadhi Architectural style. Bada Imambara – is one of the famous monuments of the city, known as Bhulbhulaiya locally, also known as Asafi Imambara. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Evening free for shopping. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel, Lucknow.
Day 9 - Lucknow – Agra
After breakfast check out & transfer to Agra. Reach & check in hotel. After lunch proceed to visit Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world. Thereafter transfer & check in hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel, Agra.
Day 10 - Agra
After breakfast proceed to visit Agra fort it was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty till 1638, when the capital shifted from Agra to Delhi. After lunch, visit Fatehpur Sikri, this city was built by the Mughal emperor Akbar out of red sandstone in the 16th century. We can visit some of the famous buildings in Fatehpur Sikri are the Buland Darwaja, Dargaha Sheikh Chilli Chisti, Diwan-e-Khas & Jodha Bai’s palace. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel, Agra.
Day 11 - Delhi Airport
After breakfast check out & transfer to Delhi airport to board flight for your onwards journey.
